As my friend Jean-Noel often says, where there's smoke, there's fire. And sometimes there's a fireplace. Anner bylsma is the fireplace of the annees classiques. The first time I heard Bach suites violoncelle, I cried. I'm not sure if this can be considered classical music. The annees classiques : a doomed decade.
