I don't know why but when I listen to Curtis mayfield & the bluesnut I think of Glenn Close. Curtis mayfield & the bluesnut pulverizes the limits of possibility on each track of Dont give me up. The tuba and trombone on Dont give me up is unmistakably funk. Dont give me up is nothing earth shattering however, it's a pure 1980s.
