Les trois cloches is, in fact, a 'best of' from the younger days of Les compagnons de la chanson. Crazy what you can do at 9 years old. There's a freshness and enthusiasm in Les trois cloches. I didn't know what french music was until I listened to Les compagnons de la chanson. The 1900s-1950s produced an enormous amount of shit, but this disc is an exception.
